How do I set the default font for text-bodies on my LiveEdit™ website?
Posted Wed, Jul 02, 2008 03:35:07 PM by admin modified by admin
Anytime you place a text-body on your website, LiveEdit™ automatically attaches the "Default" Content Style (located in the Style Editor) to it. To change the Default font for bodies of text on your LiveEdit™ website, you can edit the "Default" Content Style in the Style Editor by performing the following steps:
- From the LiveEdit™ Dashboard, click Style Editor.
- In the Style Editor, find Content Layouts.
- Under Content Layouts, click the Default layout.
- In the style-editing body, you'll find the following CSS code:
/****************************************/
/***** Default (CSS) Style Settings *****/
/****************************************/
.thisStyle { }
/***** Default - Text Body *****/
.thisStyle_body {
/** Font **/
font-family:
}
- The CSS tag "font-family:" defines the font used within the "Default" content style. Define "font-family:" with any of the following values:
- Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
- "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
- "Courier New", Courier, monospace;
- Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
- Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
- Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
Note: The above values are standard fonts supported by the most curent web browsers. You can define "font-family:" with other fonts; however, you run the risk of the browser your site visitor is using not supporting the font and therefore not displaying properly.
- Click Save
- Click View Website on the LiveEdit™ Tool Bar.
All text bodies using the "Default" Content Style should display in the font that you defined.

- Your Content Area is now included in the list of your LiveEdit(TM) website's Available Content Areas. Click View Website on the LiveEdit(TM) Tool Bar.
